CERN CentOS 7.2 available.¶

Dear Linux users.

We have a pleasure to announce that updated CERN Centos Linux (CC7) version:

        CC 7.2 is available for installation
        *************************************
            as of Tuesday 15.12.2015

and will become default CC7 production version on 11.01.2016.

What happened to Scientific Linux CERN (SLC) ?

SLC 6 and SLC5 remain supported Linux versions at CERN
Next major release: 7 is based on CentOS

Updating CERN CentOS 7.1 to 7.2:

Due to CERN annual closure, all updates will be released to production repositories only on 11.01.2016.

Until then CC7 system can be updated by running:

# yum --enablerepo=cr --enablerepo={updates,extras,cern,cernonly}-testing clean all # yum --enablerepo=cr --enablerepo={updates,extras,cern,cernonly}-testing update
